s the begining the installation

Hello,
Every time i try to install vista i get this error "System could not get information about the disks on your computer" does anyone know what the problem is...
I got 2 hard drives, one maxtor and one western digital i want to install vista on the maxtor hard drive. Maxtor hard drive is ATA drive and WD is SATA.
Can someone help me please.

How did you launch setup? By booting off the disk or you launched setup from within an existing installation of Windows?
